News - Dash Optimization Announces Release of Xpress-MP 2005A

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ and LONDON: Dash Optimization today announced the release of Xpress-MP 2005A. Xpress-MP continues to provide state-of-the-art modeling and optimization tools to customers in a wide range of vertical industries.

Some of the new features of Xpress-MP 2005A include:

Xpress-Optimizer

Overall Optimizer improvements in both speed and reliability
The Barrier Algorithm is now more memory efficient and faster
The Dual Algorithm has been improved resulting in an order of magnitude in speed improvements on some hard problems
The MIP algorithm continues to be improved with new presolve features and improved cutting strategies
The MIP solver can be run in parallel on multi-processor machines

Xpress-Mosel and Xpress-IVE

State-of-the-art debugger
Profiler which calculates how long it takes to execute each line of Mosel code
Library Interface for .NET
Parallelization to solve multiple sub-models in parallel
Deployment wizard which now works with VB.NET and C# in addition to C, Java, and Visual Basic

Xpress-Application Developer

Xpress-Application Developer (XAD) is a new extension to Xpress-Mosel. XAD extends the functionality of Mosel with a comprehensive API for creating advanced user interfaces.

Xpress-SLP

New Convergence Test to terminate optimization if no improvement is detected after convergence on extended criteria
Memory areas can be dimensioned directly by using new memory control variables
New option to use analytic derivatives where available instead of using numeric derivatives throughout
